Love Lights is a year-round program of St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary that began in 1999 to raise funds to support St. Mary’s Hospital’s mission to be a compassionate and transforming healing presence in the communities we serve. Gifts to Love Lights enhance our Continuum of Care and provide access to care for the most vulnerable in our communities by making vital services available to all who need us. Funds from past donations helped establish a new Family Grieving Room, located within the hospital for families who need space to gather after a loss.
The outdoor garden and recreational area at St. Mary’s Highland Hills Memory Care Center was recently dedicated, with funding coming from past Love Lights donations. Improving the center’s enclosed garden area brought many benefits to our memory care residents, including improved mobility into the gardens for all residents, as well as space for families to visit in the sunshine. Funds from the 2025 year will be used to continue the mission of helping our St. Mary’s community.
Gifts can be made to Love Lights throughout the year in honor of loved ones, living or deceased; to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, and other special occasions; and for the special recognition of a person or organization. Furthermore, Love Lights is a way to recognize a St. Mary’s colleague. volunteer or physician who has made a meaningful impact through their compassionate care and excellent service.
The Love Lights Tree Lighting Program will be held in the hospital atrium on Sunday, December 14th at 3:00pm, where the tree will be lit to commemorate your generous donations. The Georgia Children’s Choir will also be performing.
Thank you so much for your continuing confidence in and support of St. Mary’s.
